About Denton

Denton is a city in and the county seat of Denton County, Texas, United States. With a population of 139,869 as of 2020, it is the 27th-most populous city in Texas, the 197th-most populous city in the United States, and the 12th-most populous city in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. A Texas land grant led to the formation of Denton County in 1846, and the city was incorporated in 1866. Both were named after pioneer and Texas militia captain John B. Denton. The arrival of a railroad line in the city in 1881 spurred population, and the establishment of the University of North Texas in 1890 and Texas Woman's University in 1901 distinguished the city from neighboring regions.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Walters Wedding Estates, especially Monroe Pearson. It was the most beautiful venue for our special day and most importantly the staff made sure everything was perfect for us and they truly went above and beyond. Thank you to Amanda for helping me plan my dream wedding (in THREE months!!!) and being the sweetest human being. She made sure she was a part of our special day until the very last moment and even signed up to serve that night….and I’m so thankful I got to experience all of that with her. Thank you to Tabitha for helping me make sure all of the final details were taken care of the day of the wedding and making sure I (the bride) didn’t have a panic attack. Lol. And last but not least, Latecia you were THE best!! Thank you for being so organized at our rehearsal so that our ceremony could run so smoothly. Thank you for taking care of me all night because without you I think I would have lost it.😂 you genuinely saved the day when we couldn’t get my dress bussled, when wine was spilt on me and when I lost my drink! Lol. I promise you will not go wrong if you book at Monroe Pearson. It was the most amazing experience and I’m so grateful to ALL of the staff who played a part in our special day. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
